Steps to Take

Follow Up

If you have given your consent during your assessment, you will receive follow-up check-ins after your sessions are finished with your counsellor. These are completed at 2 weeks, 3, 6 and 12 months after treatment and will be either via email, or a telephone call with one of our team.

The purpose of our follow ups is to identify any gambling related needs you may have and to give you the opportunity of coming back into treatment if you need to.

Group Support

If you feel that group peer support would benefit your recovery, please visit our groups page for further information.

Peer Aid

Peer Aid is a service providing one-to-one and group support to individuals harmed by gambling by connecting them to Peer Supporters who have personal experience of gambling harms and have moved into recovery.

Peer Aid is a peer support service where you are able to talk to someone who has gone through their own recovery journey and who is there to support you no matter where you are in yours. Whether you are looking for a one-off conversation, structured peer support or a buddy to motivate you to engage with other treatment this is the right place to speak to someone with understanding and a non-judgmental attitude.

The majority of their Coaches have their own lived experience of Gambling Harms, so will understand how you might be feeling. Reframe’s Aftercare theme is for individuals who have accessed a form of treatment and would like some further support.

We understand that life after Gambling can feel daunting and maybe even confusing.

They will work with you to create a personalised plan tailored to your unique needs and goals, providing guidance and support every step of the way.

Relapse Prevention

Relapse prevention is a crucial part of the recovery journey. With the help of your counsellor you will examine anything that could potentially risk or harm your recovery and decide on appropriate, personalised measures to either prevent it or tackle it. That could range from practical solutions like making sure that blockers are in place and your self-exclusion is active.

Your counsellor will also work with you to develop an action plan to address any future triggers and urges. For that reason, we offer a variety of support options that are accessible after the end of your sessions with Breakeven.
